I've always admired timberframe construction and just assumed it was beyond my skills/time/patience, etc.. But this project is already over the top so why draw the line there? So after a couple books and countless hours drawing sketches while trying to kill time on airplanes (all work related travel) I thought I'd give it a try. I fabricated each piece over about a 9 month period (no pics of that sorry..) and then asked a couple friends - Greg and Ron, along with Davis - to help assemble and erect the basic frame.
I'm now constructing the roofline pieces to add to the timberframe structure. More to come...
